AB’s : Is it truly the best ?

Absolute Barbecue, one of the famous barbecue restaurants inside the city. This is a complete look into AB’s experience.

AB’s is one of the busiest restaurants in city and pre booking tables is absolutely necessary if you are looking to dine here. Booking using one of the hotline numbers of AB’s was a mess. The line is usually busy at takes atleast 5 minutes to book there. The customer service line is pretty noisy its hard to tell what the person at other end is saying. Booking using online services like Dine Out is easy and table confirmation usually takes 5-10 minutes. Dine out was pretty easy for me and i prefer it any day.Zomato does not offer table booking at AB’s.

Like most barbecue restaurants, this restaurant is always crowded. If you are looking to have a peaceful dinner, its not the place for you. If you are looking for a place to hang out with friends then this might fit. But is it worth the price compared to other barbecues ?

Food tasted pretty bad. None of the starters tasted compelling. You get the usual potato, corn, fish, prawns and mutton seekh along with honey chicken ( which BBQ nation does not offer). But none of the food tasted satisfactorily. It’s one of the worst starters that i had in barbecue options.

Unlike coal barbecue where you don’t get a choice for complementary drink, AB’s does offer you some variety. But virgin mojito that i had tasted like water. That’s zero points for AB’s there.

AB’s is known for the variety of food choices it has for main course. You get wide variety of food from Duck, Rabbits to Octopus. You get to choose the veggies which is then cooked and served which tasted good. Plus point for AB’s there.

Other main courses tasted pretty okay like usual BBQ’s. But desserts, thats pretty bad. Desserts tasted okay but ice creams tasted pretty bad.

AB try to do all the things, but fails to deliver its promises. Choices of food might be good, but what good does it do when the taste of food is pretty bad ?

For me, there are better BBQ’s that offer better for the price.
